Resumo: | Public space is a place permeable by different interactions and uses, by ephemeral movements and by moments of silence and emptiness. Through small-scale local interventions driven by bottom-up processes, it is possible to revitalize the public space. The playfulness, as a tool for linking interpersonal relationships, is a way of triggering new urban dynamics. This dissertation intends, firstly, to clarify concepts underlying the aforementioned theme and to define the role of play in the everyday life of the human being - the ludic being. Secondly, the link between the ludic and the public space is addressed - the ludic city. This relationship is denoted not only in the construction of play spaces dedicated to children (playgrounds), but also in the creation of play areas for an adult and heterogeneous population that, over the last few years, has increasingly prioritized leisure time and the creation of playful opportunities in the space that surrounds it. After the theoretical component is established , the third moment of the dissertation begins: the realization of a proposal for a tactical intervention in the public space, through play. This results from the participation in an international competition entitled "Tactical Urbanism Now!", with the submitted proposal being considered one of the 30 finalists. Subsequently, in conversations with the City Council of Aveiro, the possibility arose of submitting the proposal to the 'Orçamento Participativo com Ação Direta de Aveiro' of 2023. This opportunity provided a closer look at the project previously submitted to the competition, considering the established theoretical principles. Therefore, this research is developed between two competitions, whilst remaining critical and avoiding the sometimes excessive ludification of the contemporary city. |
