Resumo: This cross-sectional survey, conducted during March-July 1992, in a rural village in Guiné-Bissau, studied the determinants of vaccination coverage in 344 children aged 2 to 9 years of age, as well as the determinants of health care service attendance during the month preceding the survey. One hundred and three (29.9%) of the children had been to a health care service during the month preceding the survey and 291 (84.6%) had completed their vaccination schedule. The following variables were found to be significantly associated with the above outcomes: father's occupation, father's literacy ant type of housing.
