Resumo: A very particular vision of God, the Devil, the Serpent, and implicitly of Cain, characteristic of the gnostic schools of thought, is detectable not only in the fragments of a planned esoteric work titled O Caminho da Serpente (The Way of the Serpent), as well as in many others of Fernando Pessoa’s texts. The heteronymic process, taken as a wandering (disquiet) path of a poet who unceasingly travels or “flies while someone else”, may in itself be a sign of a luciferian initiation with which the “enlightened” Cain (or Caeiro?) is equally connected.
