Resumo: Despite being a new subject in the traditional tourism field, corporate mobility has already been studied in the USA, Europe and Latin America. Just as urban, physical, social and technological mobility, the expression “corporate mobility” appears with the aim of creating strategic solutions of displacement. In corporations, it happens through the business travel services, expatriate employees, or simply the necessary commuting in the day by day life of organizations. Business travel in Brazil has grown, and additional contracts in agribusiness, oil and natural gas will contribute to increase the number of travelers to several destinations that were not used to receive visitors. Travel Management Companies, known as TMCs, increase their market share since they are trying to position themselves as experts in travel management.Thus, the aim of this paper is to present the TMCs as disseminators of corporate mobility services. The study is exploratory, qualitative, with multiple case studies. The central question of this study was ‘Why are companies contracting TMCs to handle their corporate mobility services?’. After the bibliographical research that allowed the choice of the key-words, central question and hypothesis, the multiple case study protocol was prepared and the three companies were selected due to the access that they committed to provide for this research – Carlson Wagon Lits, Alatur and Tour House. After a preparation of a profile of each company, there were three interviews with one top manager per organization; each of the interviewed people indicated the next two companies/persons to be contacted, as their most relevant stakeholders.

Assim como a mobilidade urbana, física, social e tecnológica, a mobilidade corporativa surge com o objetivo de criar soluções estratégicas de deslocamento. Nas empresas, isso se dá por meio das viagens corporativas, expatriação de funcionários, ou simplesmente nos deslocamentos necessários para operacionalizar o cotidiano das organizações. As viagens de negócios no Brasil têm crescido, e mercados como os de agronegócios, petróleo e gás natural contribuirão ainda mais para tal aumento. As Travel Management Companies, conhecidas como TMCs, ganham espaço nesse mercado por serem especialistas em gestão de viagens corporativas. Dessa maneira, o objetivo do presente artigo é apresentar as TMCs como disseminadoras de serviços de mobilidade corporativa. O estudo caracteriza-se como exploratório, qualitativo, com estudo de casos múltiplos. Primeiramente, realizou-se o levantamento bibliográfico para a compreensão de conceitos, estabelecimento de palavras-chave, elaboração do problema de pesquisa e hipóteses. A questão central da pesquisa foi ‘Por que procurar serviços de mobilidade corporativa emTMCs?’.
