As bibliotecas escolares: interesse dos utilizadores e importância no desenvolvimento curricular

O presente estudo incide sobre a análise dos hábitos de leitura, da frequência e utilização da Biblioteca Escolar e a opinião dos alunos sobre o impacto desta na Escola. O papel da BE é relevante, pois ela deve fomentar a articulação curricular, num contexto de mudança. Na minha opinião o objectivo primordial da Biblioteca Escolar é motivar para a leitura, conquistando novos leitores. Nesse sentido, deve promover o sucesso educativo e dessa forma tem de articular com os conteúdos curriculares. Ela é um pólo de ligação entre docentes, discentes e currículos escolares, construindo conjuntamente actividades com sentido, quer para uns quer para outros. Daí a sua importância fulcral para a preparação dos nossos jovens num mundo em constante mutação. Foi analisada a importância da Biblioteca Escolar nesse contexto, pois ela é um recurso imprescindível para a promoção do sucesso educativo, preparando os alunos e articulando as suas actividades com os projectos e orientações curriculares existentes na escola. Utilizámos como instrumentos de recolha de dados, para além da entrevista, o questionário. Pretendeu-se, a partir de um contexto e situação concretos, fazer um levantamento das preferências literárias dos alunos, das suas sugestões para a Biblioteca e dos principais problemas detectados para procurar soluções, orientadoras de práticas futuras. Queremos, sobretudo, fundamentar e apresentar propostas que envolvam a Biblioteca Escolar como parceira imprescindível no intuito de se promover uma escola de sucesso, dotada, no imediato, de modos de intervir convencionalmente orientados para a preparação dos alunos no âmbito da aquisição de conhecimentos curriculares assim como para a formação de cidadãos responsáveis e interventivos. ABSTRACT This study focuses on the analysis of reading habits, the frequency and use of school library and students' opinions about the impact of the School. The role of the School Library is relevant, because it promotes the joint curriculum in a context of change. In my opinion, the prime aim of the school library is to stimulate the interest of the reading in order to gain new readers. In this sense, should promote educational success and therefore has to combine with the curriculum. It is a hub connecting teachers, students and school curricula, building joint activities with regard either to or for each other. Hence its central importance for the preparation of our youth in a changing world. We analyzed the importance of the School Library in this context because it is an invaluable resource for the promotion of educational success, preparing students and coordinating its activities with the projects and existing school curriculum guidelines. We used as instruments of data collection, in addition to the survey interview. It was intended, from a specific context and situation, surveying the literary preferences of students, their suggestions to the Library and of the main problems detected to seek solutions for guiding future practice. In this work, we started to reflect on the reality of school and established there the need for educational success, mobilizing for that, all possible resources to such success takes effect. This paper aims, above all, support and proposals involving the School Library as a vital partner in order to promote a successful school, which has, in immediate ways to intervene conventionally geared to preparing students in the acquisition of knowledge curriculum as well as the formation of responsible citizens and interventional.
