Resumo: The Climate Change (CC) is one of the greatest challenges of the XXIst century and its effects shallbe attended, evaluated and prevented right from the local level and in several matters (social, environmental, economic, etc.). On the other hand, in last years in Europe, has been enhanced the importance of a clear definitionof appropriate measures for Water Scarcity and Droughts's situations, regarding the expected aggravation oftheir impacts due to CC and since a drought situation can intensify concerning situations where there is alreadyan imbalance between natural availabilities and existing water uses (water scarcity). The contributions forwater scarcity and droughts management, described in this article, work under development at FEUP, for theGuadiana's basin case study allow an enhanced flexibility, prevention and anticipation capacity, being fundedon decision support tools such as indicators and simulation models. It is possible to verify that, with adequateclimate and water use scenarios, on proper Water Resources Management time and spatial scales, the workherewith presented can contribute to the adaptation process to CC.
