Resumo: The present dissertation focuses on the theme "Art as an object for thinking about dystopia", a topic that intends to work dystopia as a method for social awareness on contemporary problems using an art work to trigger this thought. This thesis works the refered theme through a small study on the subject of dystopia, since its origin, its development and its current significance. It is also addressed the importance of dystopia as a tool for alerting the current society about the possible consequences of their actions, and it’s also focused the relevance of the art object as disseminator of a message that can be combined with the dystopian tool. And is also made a brief route to art history exploring the possible relationship between art and dystopia. It is done a proposal for an exhibition project with the title "What Is To Come." This project consists of presenting art works that may be useful elements on a speech about dystopia and its relation to the current world, addressing some key aspects que may be observed in narrative nature works, philosophical, political, social and environmental
