The Professional Internship is the curricular unit of the 2nd year of the Master in Physical Education Teaching in Basic and Secondary Education at the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto and corresponds to the last stage of this academic path. This document intends to put into perspective the experiences lived by the student-intern throughout this year of Professional Internship. This is a very important stage, in which the first clash with the day-to-day reality of a teacher occurs, where he can put into practice all the knowledge obtained during his degree, master's and also through his life experience. It is also faced with the similarity of roles between teacher and coach activities, with the benefits of having these two experiences and also their way of intervening and relating, which must always be adapted to the context of students/athletes. There is also a research study entitled "The effects of sports practice outside the school context on the final grade of Physical Education".
