Resumo: Integrated in the Project Society, School and Research an initiative of Porto City Council promoting the relationship between students and teachers/ scientific researchers from establishments of basic/ secondary education and universities (faculties and research centers), we present the work of the partnership between Secondary School Alexandre Herculano and the Faculty of Arts, University of Porto. This work, called GEOMOVE - Reconstruction of Migration Flows, aims to perceive spatial contexts involved in 'life story' of students and their families, in order to sensitize the participants to a current phenomenon - migration - through a conceptual design and methodology that fits the principles of Education for Citizenship. By applying an online survey, the results were statistically analyzed and mapped, according to different work steps involving all actors. Through a project work involving students living space, we show how they are aware of a real problem, contributing to their 'scientific culture' that can be the basis for the development of a more active posture to the society problems.
