However, the security risks and online fraud are increasing right along with the benefits. In an e-commerce environment, security plays a prominent role, since it has the potential to influence consumer buying intentions. It is in this context that the present investigation is undertaken, starting with the question “How does psychological aspect of security (PAS) affect the intention to use e-commerce?”, grounded on the model of Theory of Reasoned Action and on a quantitative methodology. Examining 207 responses to a questionnaire, this study found that PAS does not directly affect the behavioral intention to shop through e-commerce, and perceived risk has a moderator effect among consumer subjective norms and online purchase behavior. Based on these results, approaches are proposed for e-commerce businesses in order to boost the trust and intention to buy of e-commerce users.Tam Chuem Vai, CarlosRUNAntunes, Carolina Custódio2023-04-28T14:15:24Z2023-04-122023-04-12T00:00:00Zinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10362/152225TID:203272358enginfo:eu-repo/semantics/embargoedAccessreponame:Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos)instname:Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãoinstacron:RCAAP2024-03-11T05:34:35Zoai:run.unl.pt:10362/152225Portal AgregadorONGhttps://www.rcaap.pt/oai/openaireopendoar:71602024-03-20T03:54:50.592773Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos) - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãofalse
