Resumo: The present research, of a qualitative nature, aims to examine, in an empirical manner, how the expansion of the use of videoconference audiences in the scope of the State of São Paulo Justice Court, especially after the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, impacted the work routine of court clerks. These public servants are commonly responsible for providing technical support for holding hearings. Thus, the study aims to highlight the vision they present about this practice, considering their professional experience. To this end, data were obtained through the provision of a research instrument, consisting of a questionnaire hosted in the Google Forms platform, in the period from June 6th to the 24th, 2022, composed of ten open questions. Thirty-six people answered the form. In the end, trough the results obtained, it was concluded that, in general, the routine of these clerks was significantly changed with the expansion of virtual audiences, because, for the most part, remote audiences require more preparation time and have more complications, which is why the clerk of the courtroom is more demanded and the role of his attributions is expanded. However, despite the additional tasks, most respondents are enthusiastic about holding videoconference audiences and believe that any possible mishaps will be satisfactorily overcome with time and with the adaptation of the employees.
