Resumo: Extractive Reserves are primarily protected by socio-biodiversity. One of the alternatives for sustainable public use is tourism, which is subject to negative impacts. Thus, the present work addresses the different perspectives of Community Based Tourism (TBC) in the Soure Marine Extractive Reserve (RESEXMS), Brazil. The exploratory research and case study took place through literature review, elaboration of data collection instrument (qualitative structured questionnaires) and interviews with representatives’ part of the deliberative board (1 from the government, 5 from the private sector and 5 from society). organized civil society) and 5 tourists. In addition, there was participant observation through voluntary internship at the protected area (UC) by one of the authors. As results, it was observed that the TBC is an important socioeconomic, cultural and environmental transformer, however it is necessary a greater articulation of it, for greater management effectiveness of the UC.
