Biological evolution in biology classes: conceptions of students from 3rd. high school grade in a public school of Avaré (SP)

Resumo: | We understand that the Biological Evolution is the set of processes of modifications in hereditary characters that has transformed the life on Earth, promoting the diversity of existing organisms. PCN and OCEM propose an ecological-evolutionary approach of the content in Biology. However, this is not adequately approached. This work aimed to evaluate the conceptions of 3rd. High School grade, in a public school, to promote the diffusion of critical-scientific knowledge about this theme. Educational intervention was carried out and, after this intervention, another activity was applied, and was possible to notice that the students answers were based more in the scientific knowledge. Finally, we identified some challenges about to work this knowledge with an integrative approach |

El PCN y OCEM proponen un enfoque ecológico-evolutivo de los contenidos en Biología. Sin embargo, esto no siempre se aborda de manera adecuada. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo evaluar las concepciones de los estudiantes de 3er grado sobre el tema. serie de bachillerato en una escuela pública para, posteriormente, promover la difusión del conocimiento crítico-científico sobre la Evolución Biológica. Inicialmente realizamos una evaluación diagnóstica y, posteriormente, una intervención educativa. Después de la intervención, aplicamos otra actividad evaluativa; con esta última evaluación pudimos ver que las respuestas dadas estaban más basadas en el conocimiento crítico-científico. Finalmente, también señalamos, en este artículo, algunos desafíos para trabajar este tema de manera integradora.Entendemos por Evolução Biológica o conjunto de processos de modificações de caracteres hereditários que tem transformado a vida na Terra, propiciando a diversidade de organismos existentes. Os PCN e a OCEM propõem um enfoque ecológico-evolutivo sobre os conteúdos em Biologia. Entretanto, isso nem sempre é contemplado de forma adequada. Este trabalho visou avaliar as concepções do tema de alunos da 3ª. série do ensino médio em uma escola estadual para, depois, promover a difusão do conhecimento crítico-científico sobre a Evolução Biológica. Inicialmente, realizamos uma avaliação diagnóstica e, posteriormente, uma intervenção educativa. Após a intervenção, aplicamos outra atividade avaliativa; com esta última avaliação pudemos perceber que as respostas dadas foram mais baseadas no conhecimento crítico-científico.
