“Algae” in the pedagogic projects of brazilian higher education institutions

Resumo: Current knowledge about "Algae" needs to reach students in basic education. However, this knowledge construction process needs, firstly, to reach the undergraduates of Biology courses, who will be the future teachers and producers of didactic materials. In this article we aim to analyze the classification of "algae" and the teaching approaches about these beings, used in undergraduate courses in Biological Sciences at Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Although the "evolutionary" and "diversity" approaches were the most frequent, the classification of "algae" into artificial groups (specified or not) is still very present, leading to an understanding that the most recent studies on the phylogeny of these beings are not yet being explored in the analyzed HEIs.

Sin embargo, este proceso de construcción del conocimiento necesita, en primer lugar, llegar a los estudiantes de grado de las carreras de Biología, quienes serán los futuros docentes y productores de materiales didácticos. En este artículo tenemos como objetivo analizar la clasificación de las "algas" y los enfoques de enseñanza sobre estos seres utilizados en los cursos de grado en Ciencias Biológicas en las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) brasileñas. Si bien los enfoques "evolutivo" y "diversidad" fueron los más frecuentes, la clasificación de las "algas" en grupos artificiales (especificados o no) sigue estando muy presente, lo que lleva a entender que los estudios más recientes sobre la filogenia de estos seres son aún no siendo explorado en las IES analizadas.Conhecimentos atuais sobre as "Algas" precisam chegar aos estudantes na educação básica. Todavia, este processo de construção de conhecimentos precisa, primeiramente, chegar aos licenciandos dos cursos de Biologia, os quais serão os futuros professores e produtores de materiais didáticos. Neste artigo objetivamos analisar a classificação das "algas" e as abordagens de ensino sobre estes seres utilizadas em cursos de licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas de Instituições de Ensino Superior (IES) brasileiras.
