Elementary education at BNCC: structuralism and post-structuralism in the life and evolution axis of Natural Sciences

Resumo: The Base Nacional Comum Curricular is the mandatory curriculum document in force in the country. Facing controversies, the BNCC has been scrutinized from different scientific and philosofical perspectives. In this article, the goal was to characterize the structuralism and post-structuralism as curricular elements, in the objects of knowledge and skills expected from BNCC Natural Sciences’ axis “Life and Evolution”. Through the conducted content analysis, the predominance of the structuralist perspective focusing on the empirical character was verified. The low adherence of the synoptic character, which promotes the construction of new knowledge, reflects the school's role of reproducing of pre-structured concepts, intensifying scientific linear discourses. The construction of new knowledge in Biosciences occurs by overcoming scientific process as absolute, recognizing subjectivies in the biological knowledge.

Frente a las controversias, la BNCC há sido discutida desde diferentes perspectivas científicas y filosóficas. En este artículo, el objetivo fue caracterizar el estructuralismo y el postestructuralismo como elementos curriculares en los objetos de conocimiento y habilidades del eje Vida y Evolución, de las Ciencias Naturales, en la BNCC. Através del análisis de contenido realizado, se verificó el predominio de la perspectiva estructuralista con foco en el carácter empírico. La baja adherencia al carácter sinóptico, que promueve la construcción de nuevos conocimiento, refleja el papel de la escuela de reproducir conceptos preestructurados, intensificando los discursos científicos lineales. La construcción de nuevos saberes para las Biociencias ocurre en la superación del proceso científico como absoluto, al reconocer subjetividades en el saber biológico.A Base Nacional Comum Curricular é o documento curricular em vigência no país. Frente a controvérsias, a BNCC vem sendo discutida sob diferentes óticas científicas e filosóficas. Neste artigo, objetivou-se caracterizar o estruturalismo e o pós-estruturalismo enquanto elementos curriculares nos objetos de conhecimento e habilidades do eixo Vida e Evolução, das Ciências da Natureza, na BNCC. Através da análise de conteúdo verificou-se o predomínio da perspectiva estruturalista com foco no caráter empírico. A baixa aderência do caráter sinóptico, que promove a construção de novos saberes, reflete o papel escolar de reprodução de conceitos pré-estruturados, intensificando discursos lineares científicos.
