Resumo: The work sought to understand how art is worked in nursery rooms and which pedagogical proposals can better favor babies' immersion in artistic languages, enabling them to experience and learn about themselves and the world. In order to achieve the main objective, a bibliographic research was carried out. The theoretical journey first involved understanding who the baby is, then knowing how arts contribute to babies` development and finally investigating ways of planning and carrying out pedagogical work with artistic languages with babies in the nursery, contributing to their formation as individuals, in their development and learning.

A fim de alcançar o objetivo principal, foi realizada uma pesquisa de caráter bibliográfico.
