THE CONCEPTUAL CONSTRUCTION OF THE PRAXIS OF TOLERANCE ACCORDING TO PAULO FREIRE'S STANDARDS

Resumo: This paper presents part of the results of a bibliographic research at the master's level that has as its object of study the conceptual construction of the praxis of tolerance in the Paulo Freire's theoretical assumptions. The research is guided by the procedures indicated by Salvador (1978), Triviños (1987) and Minayo (1994). We delimited the following objectives for this paper: to analyze the principle of tolerance in Freire and to highlight the contribution of the praxis of Paulo Freire's proposal in the construction of a progressive, solidary, democratic and dialogic education. For data analysis, we followed the Osgood procedure presented by Bardin (2004). The research results indicate that the praxis of tolerance in Freire is intrinsically related to fundamental principles for an education concerned with the process of humanization in the school space. Therefore, the commitment assumed with pedagogical actions based on this praxis subsidizes and favors the emergence of other principles and behaviors necessary for a healthy coexistence between the subjects and between them and the world.

El trabajo se fundamenta en los procedimientos indicados por Salvador (1978), Triviños (1987) y Minayo (1994). Los objetivos delimitados para este artículo son: analizar el principio de la tolerancia en Freire y evidenciar la contribución de la praxis, propuesta por él, en la construcción de una educación progresista, solidaria, democrática y dialógica. El análisis de los datos siguió el procedimiento de Osgood presentado por Bardin (2004). Los resultados de la investigación indican que la praxis de la tolerancia en Freire está intrínsecamente relacionada a los principios fundamentales para una educación preocupada con el proceso de humanización en el espacio escolar. Así, el compromiso asumido con las acciones pedagógicas pautadas en esa praxis subsidia y favorece la emersión de otros principios y comportamientos necesarios para una convivencia saludable entre los sujetos y de estos con el mundo.Este artigo apresenta parte dos resultados de uma pesquisa bibliográfica em que tem como objeto de estudo conceitual da construção conceitual nos conceitos de referência de Paulo. A pesquisa está pautada nos procedimentos indicados por Salvador (1978), Triviños (1987) e Minayo (1994). Os objetivos delimitados para este foram: o princípio da tolerância em Freire e evidenciar a contribuição da prática da proposta de Paulo Freire na construção de uma educação progressista, solidária, democrática e dialógica. A análise dos dados conforme o procedimento de Osgood apresentado por Bardin (2004).Os resultados da investigação indicam que a educação escolar para o processo de humanização escolar está intrinsecamente relacionada aos princípios fundamentais para uma educação com o processo de humanização.
