Resumo: This work raises concerns about the low complexity of journalistic work at TV Globo, regarding issues related to urban violence in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Therefore, this work will use discourse analysis as a methodology to understand the directions of meaning that the use of the category "involved-with" allows in journalistic texts. That is, based on the chosen category, to dissect the approach of television journalism - focusing on RJTV, first edition - on public security and urban violence, and understand what its consequences are in the social imaginary and subjectivities of the target bodies of this category, whose hypothesis revolves around the impact on access to basic rights of these target bodies, such as life.

Para ello, este trabajo utilizará el análisis del discurso como metodología para comprender las direcciones de sentido que el uso de la categoría "involucrado-con" permite en el texto periodístico. Es decir, a partir de la categoría elegida, analizar el enfoque del periodismo televisivo -teniendo como objeto el RJTV, primera edición- sobre la seguridad pública y la violencia urbana, y comprender cuáles son sus repercusiones en el imaginario social y en las subjetividades de los sujetos afectados por esta categoría, cuya hipótesis se refiere al impacto en el acceso a derechos básicos de estos sujetos, como la vida.Este trabalho levanta inquietações acerca da baixa complexidade do fazer jornalístico da TV Globo, no que tange aos assuntos relacionados à violência urbana na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Para tanto, o presente trabalho utilizará a análise do discurso como metodologia para compreender os direcionamentos de sentido que o uso da categoria “envolvido-com” permite ao texto jornalístico.
