Soil preparation and planting techniques effects on weed biomass production on pineapple culture

Resumo: Wccd control rccomcndations in pineapple cultura are based on soil conventional tillage, but the use of strip-tillage and no-tillage affect botanic weed composition. At Fepagro Litoral Norte, Maquiné-RS (lat. 29°54 1S, long. 50°19'0, alt.46m, 1659mm), in the main plots the one assay (conventional tillage, strip-tillage and no-tillage) and in the subplots two planting techniques (furrow and spear), and weed biomass productivity and botanical composition wcrc cvaluated in two dates: on Aug./ 97, before the treatments application,where 9 wccd spccies wcrc idcntificd, on Nov./97, atter three months,where there were no influente of treatments to biomass production, but thc number of species clevated to 21, because of seed germination stimulation on strip-tillage and conventional tillagc. Digitaria horizontalis, Paspalum noramm,Agerammconyzoides and Cynodon dactilon wcrc prcscnt in all treatments, and contributed with more than 95% of total dry biomass. At Maquiné 9 species(89%) of thc wceds found worldwide on pineapple cultivatios and 14 (66%) of those found more commonly on pineapple cultivatcd in lhe brazilian northeast have been recorded.

As recomendações para controlar plantas daninhas no abacaxizeiro são feitas para solos preparados convencional- mente, mas o uso de outros preparos afeta a flora daninha e a recomendação de herbicidas. Na FEPAGRO Litoral Norte, Maquiné-RS (lat.29°54S, long. 50°190, alt. 38m, ppt. 1659 mm anuais) em ensaio a campo em Chemossolo Háplico 'ártico típico, nas parcelas principais, aplicou-se três preparos de solo - convencional, cultivo em faixas e plantio direto e, nas subparcelas, duas técnicas dc plantio - sulco e chuço. As plantas espontâneas foram identificadas antes do plantio (ago./97) e as plantas daninhas em nov/97, data em que a biomassa seca foi quantificada. Antes da aplicação dos tratamentos foram identificadas 9 espécies espontâneas e, três meses depois, a biomassa seca não foi afetada pelos tratamentos, mas o número de plantas daninhas aumentou (21), devido a mudança de estação e ao revolvimento do solo, que estimulou à germinação de sementes no cultivo cm faixas e no convencional. Digitaria horizontalis, Paspalum notatum, Ageratum conyzoides e Cynodon ocorreram cm todos os tratamentos e produziram 95,3% da biomassa seca total. Em Maquiné foram encontradas 9 espécies (89%) das principais plantas daninhas do abacaxizeiro cultivado no mundo e 14 (66%) das mais comuns na cultura no nordeste brasileiro.
