RESIGNIFICATION OF THE DEATH AND FINITUDE PROCESS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE HUMANISTIC THEORY OF NURSING

Resumo: Objective: To reflect on the application of the humanistic theory in the process of reframing the phenomena of death and finitude. Method: It consists of a theoretical-reflective study carried out between November 2022 and January 2023, which is based on the humanistic theory Paterson and Zderad, elaborated from reflections, based on the phenomenology methodology regarding the process of death and finitude. Results: The reflection of the findings referring to the resignification of death and finitude in the light of the humanistic theory of Paterson and Zderad, conceived two thematic categories, called: "Theoretical bases of the humanistic theory of Paterson and Zderad under the phenomenological perspective" which aims to describe the basic principles of humanistic theory. The second thematic axis was entitled “The humanistic theory of Paterson and Zderad as an instrument in the process of re-signification of death and finitude”, which proposes to answer the guiding question. Final Considerations: The nurse, based on the assumptions of the humanistic theory, becomes qualified to offer comprehensive care to patients in suffering, becoming helpers in the process of reframing death and finitude in order to give new meanings to these phenomena, to promote a dignified death, protecting the patient from suffering and respecting his wishes.

Método: Consiste en un estudio teórico-reflexivo realizado entre noviembre de 2022 y enero de 2023, el cual se sustenta en la teoría humanista de Paterson y Zderad, elaborada a partir de reflexiones, a partir de la metodología fenomenológica respecto al proceso de la muerte y la finitud. Resultados: La reflexión de los hallazgos referentes a la resignificación de la muerte y la finitud a la luz de la teoría humanista de Paterson y Zderad, concibió dos categorías temáticas, denominadas: “Bases teóricas de la teoría humanista de Paterson y Zderad bajo la perspectiva fenomenológica” que tiene como objetivo describir los principios básicos de la teoría humanista. El segundo eje temático se tituló “La teoría humanista de Paterson y Zderad como instrumento en el proceso de resignificación de la muerte y la finitud”, que se propone responder a la pregunta orientadora. Consideraciones Finales: El enfermero, a partir de los presupuestos de la teoría humanista, se capacita para ofrecer un cuidado integral a los pacientes en sufrimiento, convirtiéndose en auxiliar en el proceso de reencuadre de la muerte y de la finitud con el fin de dar nuevos sentidos a esos fenómenos, para promover una vida digna. muerte, protegiendo al paciente del sufrimiento y respetando sus deseos.Objetivo: Refletir sobre a aplicação da teoria humanística no processo ressignificação dos fenômenos de morte e finitude. Resultados: A reflexão dos achados referentes a ressignificação da morte e finitude sob a luz da teoria humanística de Paterson e Zderad, conceberam duas categorias temáticas, denominados: “Bases teóricas da teoria humanística de Paterson e Zderad sob a perspectiva fenomenológica” o qual visa descrever os princípios básicos da teoria humanística.
