Resumo: Considering that the gender category is a social construction and, consequently, imposes norms of behavior resulting from colonialism in the relations between women and men, this article proposes to highlight this process and the intersections that mark inequalities in the countryside and the implications for women. peasant in family farming. The study analyzed from the contributions of feminist authors the influence of colonialism, considering that feminism is a concept in dispute. The places of family farming and gender asymmetry lead to the problematization of the historical construction imposed on women's lives, which is the objective of this work. The study adopts exploratory and bibliographic research and considers that gender disparities mark the Brazilian territory, demanding the denunciation of the silencing process whose defense of women's right to life is premised on the defense of the right to land.
