Resumo: | The article reflects on the integration and expansion of new information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the management of social care services and benefits in Uruguay, during the socio-sanitary emergency generated by the Covid-19. In these notes we observe the performance of these technologies considering their contribution to the automation of tasks inherent to public administration, and in particular, of social assistance benefits. The response deployed in the pandemic context prioritized a progressive integration of automated assistance practices and remote eligibility, which opens a field of questions about their effects on professional practices. |

En estas notas observamos el desempeño de estas tecnologías considerando su contribución a la automatización de tareas inherentes a la administración pública, y en particular, de las prestaciones socioasistenciales. La respuesta desplegada en el contexto pandémico jerarquizó una progresiva integración de prácticas de asistencia automatizadas y de elegibilidad remota, que abre un campo de interrogantes sobre sus efectos en las prácticas profesionales.O artigo reflete sobre a integração e expansão das novas tecnologias de informação e comunicação (TICs) na gestão dos serviços e benefícios da assistência social no Uruguai, durante a emergência sociossanitária gerada pelo Covid-19.
