Questionnaire validation of the Index Learning Styles Felder (ILS) in a Higher Education Institution

Resumo: This study aims to analyze the validation of the Felder's Learning Styles Index (ILS) questionnaire when applied to students and teachers of a Higher Education Institution. In order to identify Felder's learning styles, software was developed, called Learning Styles (EdA), structured according to the ILS questionnaire of Felder-Soloman (1991) and the theoretical model of Felder-Silverman (1988). This research was applied in a Higher Education Institution, involving 4,522 students and 157 teachers, seeking to analyze the degree of agreement of students and teachers with the characteristics of the learning styles presented in each dimension of ILS. The study indicated an overall mean of 94% agreement on the part of the students and 93% by the teachers with the styles of learning of Felder, confirming the validation of the ILS questionnaire.

Para identificação dos estilos de aprendizagem foi utilizado um aplicativo baseado no questionário ILS de Felder -Soloman (1991) e no modelo teórico de Felder-Silverman (1988). Participaram da pesquisa 4.522 estudantes e 157 professores.
