Active Learning Methodologies: report of experience in a continuing education workshop for Science teachers

Resumo: | The use of active methodologies is a practice that can bring benefits to teaching and learning science. However, new techniques and pedagogical resources are rarely addressed during undergraduate courses, making continuing education courses so important for teacher improvement. This article aims to document the realization of a workshop on active learning methodologies, given to teachers of science in practice in the municipal network of Fortaleza, as well as to analyze the opinion and the speeches of the same about the subject addressed. During the workshop, special attention was given to Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL), the use of Digital Information and Communication Technologies (DICT) and gamification. It was concluded that the techniques presented during the workshop were viewed with good eyes by the education professionals and that they are inclined to adopt them in their classrooms. |

No entanto, novas técnicas e recursos pedagógicos são, geralmente, pouco abordados durante os cursos de licenciatura, tornando a existência de cursos de formação continuada tão importantes para o aprimoramento docente. O presente artigo se propõe a documentar a realização de uma oficina sobre metodologias ativas de aprendizagem, ministrada a professores de Ciências em exercício na rede municipal de Fortaleza, bem como a analisar a opinião e os discursos dos mesmos acerca do tema abordado. Durante a oficina foi dada especial atenção à Aprendizagem Baseada em Investigação (ABI), ao uso de Tecnologias Digitais de Informação e Comunicação (TDIC) e à gamificação.
