Experimentation and control of variables: didactic propositions for a scientific activity on floating bodies

Resumo: | The current panorama of science education focuses on the development of students with skills aimed at understanding world and natural phenomena, mediated by deduction, logical reasoning, inventiveness of hypothesis, formulation of ideas and encouraging of intellectual and moral probity. In this article, we anchored to the theoretical-methodological reference of experimentation for and in science teaching to analyze a study on the control of variables, proposing three didactic situations on the floating bodies: a Cartesian diver of variable masses, a bottle with different sizes and another with distinct liquids volumes. The discussions and the results point to a potential instrument of experimentation-action and experimentation-object, in which scientific education stands out by the use of conceptual, procedural and attitudinal methods necessary for the formation of students. |

No presente artigo, ancoramo-nos ao referencial teórico-metodológico da experimentação para e no ensino de ciências para analisar um estudo sobre o controle de variáveis, propondo três situações didáticas sobre flutuação dos corpos: um ludião de massas variáveis, uma garrafa com tamanhos diferentes e outra com volumes de líquidos distintos.
