Students conceptions of High School level about Astronomy concepts and the possible contributions of the joint between formal and not formal learning spaces

Resumo: This work present a study of previous conceptions related on some concepts of Astronomy presented by 50 students of the first series of High School level of a public school of São Paulo, carried through based on drawings made for the students that showed its forms to imagine the Universe, the planet Earth and the Sun. The analysis of drawings and the debates carried through for the professor with the students had contributed so that these could reformulate its concepts and improve its astronomical knowledge. In view of that one parcels out of the deficiencies presented for the students are related on the lack of existing materials and teaching difficulties to teach Astronomy, this work also salient the importance of not formal learning spaces as manner to contribute for the learning of the boarded concepts in the expositions and activities that can complement the approach given in the school environment. In this manner, it is valued the approach and the interaction of the public with objects and resources in the not formal learning spaces, being suggested a proposal that it aims at to articulate the actions between formal and not formal spaces of education, in order to improve the teaching and learning processes, being promoted the desired popularization of contents related to Astronomy.

A análise dos desenhos e os debates realizados pelo professor junto aos alunos contribuíram para que esses pudessem reformular seus conceitos e aprimorar seus conhecimentos astronômicos. Tendo em vista que uma parcela das deficiências apresentadas pelos estudantes decorre da carência de materiais existentes e de dificuldades docentes para ensinar Astronomia, este trabalho salienta também a importância dos espaços não formais como meios capazes de contribuir para a aprendizagem dos conceitos abordados nas exposições e atividades que podem complementar o enfoque dado no ambiente escolar.
