Analysis of design methodologies and development of useful tools for the creative process of the fashion designer

Resumo: | Project thinking in design deals with diverse information, among which: subjective information that acts in the cultural construct of complex social interactions, and that will serve the designer as a connection between the product and the consumer. This research aimed to analyze fashion design methodologies and develop useful tools for the fashion designer’s creative process. It was done with a theoretical approach, from the theoretical framework, and practice, through a survey applied in August 2020, with 5 professionals from different areas of fashion, from different cities of Santa Catarina, to verify the use of methods and tools recognition of symbolic references in fashion. This research was constituted by the interdisciplinary approach, uniting semantics, semiotics, and cognitive ergonomics, in the search for tools and methods to aid in the designer’s interpretive process, and to contribute to interdisciplinarity and interpretive systematization in design thinking. We sought to recognize methodologies applied in the Product Development Process (PDP), the tools used or recognized, and the semantic references of fashion. The result is the synthesis of the PDP for fashion design, the useful tools coming from the semiotic theory of Peirce (2005), and Greimas (1984), and from the semantic memory of Mervis & Rosch (1987). The observation of the need for interpretive tools culminated in the elaboration of cards of aesthetic, symbolic and fashion style references, to serve as tools, and constitute themselves as a method. On the data obtained, the content analysis methodology was used (BARDIN, 2016). |

El pensamiento proyectual en diseño trata con información diversa, entre las cuales: información subjetiva que actúa en la construcción cultural de interacciones sociales complejas, y que servirá al diseñador como conexión entre el producto y el consumidor. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar metodologías de diseño de moda y desarrollar herramientas útiles para el proceso creativo del diseñador de moda. Se hizo con un enfoque teórico, desde el marco teórico, y la práctica, a través de una encuesta aplicada en agosto de 2020, con 5 profesionales de diferentes áreas de la moda, de diferentes ciudades de Santa Catarina, para verificar el uso de métodos y herramientas de reconocimiento de referencias simbólicas en la moda. Esta investigación estuvo constituida por el abordaje interdisciplinario, uniendo semántica, semiótica y ergonomía cognitiva, en la búsqueda de herramientas y métodos para auxiliar en el proceso interpretativo del diseñador, y contribuir a la interdisciplinariedad y sistematización interpretativa en el design thinking. Se buscó reconocer las metodologías aplicadas en el Proceso de Desarrollo de Producto (PDP), las herramientas utilizadas o reconocidas y los referentes semánticos de la moda. El resultado es la síntesis del PDP para el diseño de moda, las útiles herramientas provenientes de la teoría semiótica de Peirce (2005), y Greimas (1984), y de la memoria semántica de Mervis & Rosch (1987). La constatación de la necesidad de herramientas interpretativas culminó en la elaboración de fichas de referencias estéticas, simbólicas y de estilo de moda, para que sirvan como herramientas y se constituyan en método. Sobre los datos obtenidos se utilizó la metodología de análisis de contenido (BARDIN, 2016).Essa pesquisa objetivou analisar metodologias do design de moda, e desenvolver ferramentas úteis ao processo criativo. O que foi possível a partir do referencial teórico e da análise dos dados de pesquisa aplicada em agosto de 2020. Como resultado dessa análise será apresentada uma síntese do PDP para o design de moda, e cartelas de referencial semântico estéticos, semânticos e de estilo da moda. As cartelas foram elaboradas para servir como um método, aplicado a diferentes marcas, consumidores, designers, modelos de negócios dentre outros, e como tal serão evidenciados os passos para sua formulação metodológica. O referencial teórico de pesquisa parte de Sternberg (2010), Mukarovski (2000), Oliveira (2007), Gomes Filho (2008), Bona (2019), Santos (2009), e Scoz et al. (2019). Sobre os dados obtidos foi utilizada a metodologia de análise de conteúdo (BARDIN, 2016). Sobre o referencial teórico foi utilizado o método de análise de conteúdo (BARDIN, 2016). Os resultados permitiram compreender que o método do design sofre alterações no PDP do design de moda, sendo acomodado às necessidades dos profissionais, e que durante esse processo há necessidade de ferramentas úteis para interpretação de informações subjetivas. Espera-se que essa pesquisa possa auxiliar estudantes, professores e profissionais de moda no ensino, aprendizagem e execução do processo criativo no design de moda.
