Resumo: Imbued with the perspective of communication accessibility, inspired by lived experiences, the post-doctoral internship was carried out from 2020 to 2022, approved by the Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, which proposed carrying out studies that would lead researchers to a theoretical deepening related to concepts relevant to Subtitling for the deaf and the hard-of-hearing (SDH) in educational audiovisual products, relating their parameters to video classes and video documentaries as audiovisual products with the dual purpose of thematic exposition of specific contents and support for learning Portuguese as L2 for the deaf. These discussions culminated in an attempt to answer the research question: can the SDH, constructed from the target text (Libras/L1), in the educational context, contribute to the appropriation of Portuguese as an L2 by deaf subjects? In this sense, it is in this context that we present the results of the first stage of the research, which corresponded to a Systematic Mapping of Literature and analyzes the initial diagnosis carried out with the participating deaf subjects. The reflections built throughout this chapter favor the consensus that the LSE can favor the learning of the Portuguese language when it is produced from sign language. However, reception studies are necessary to confirm the veracity of this statement. Thus, it is necessary to deepen the study on SDH and educational audiovisual products.

Thus, it is necessary to deepen the study on SDH and educational audiovisual products. EdUECE2023-06-26info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfapplication/epub+ziphttps://revistas.uece.br/index.php/linguagememfoco/article/view/1058910.46230/2674-8266-15-10589Linguagem em Foco Scientific Journal; Vol. 15 No. 2 (2023): Accessible audiovisual translation and teaching; 122-141Linguagem em Foco; Vol. 15 Núm. 2 (2023): Traducción y enseñanza audiovisual accesible; 122-141Revista Linguagem em Foco; Vol. 15 No 2 (2023): Traduction audiovisuelle accessible et enseignement; 122-141Revista Linguagem em Foco; v. 15 n. 2 (2023): Tradução audiovisual acessível e ensino; 122-1412674-82662176-7955reponame:Revista Linguagem em Foco (Online)instname:Universidade Estadual do Ceará (UECE)instacron:UECEporhttps://revistas.uece.br/index.php/linguagememfoco/article/view/10589/9313https://revistas.uece.br/index.php/linguagememfoco/article/view/10589/9314Copyright (c) 2023 Flávia Roldan Viana , Vera Lúcia Santiago Araújo , Wilson Júnior de Araújo Carvalhohttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessViana , Flávia RoldanAraújo , Vera Lúcia SantiagoCarvalho, Wilson Júnior de Araújo2023-06-26T13:03:14Zoai:ojs.revistas.uece.br:article/10589Revistahttps://revistas.uece.br/index.php/linguagememfocoPUBhttps://revistas.uece.br/index.php/linguagememfoco/oailinguagememfoco@uece.br||2674-82662176-7955opendoar:2023-06-26T13:03:14Revista Linguagem em Foco (Online) - Universidade Estadual do Ceará (UECE)false
