Geography of perception and environmental education: possibilities for transdisciplinary educational practices

Resumo: | The study aims to enable teaching practices that can add the theoretical and methodological basis of the Geography of Perception with those of Environmental Education, contributing to the consolidation of an Ecopedagogy. As a methodological resource, bibliographical and documentary research were used, under a qualitative approach. As results/discussions, it was found that pedagogical works with the category Perception in the teaching of Geography have been consolidated as an alternative for teaching and learning relationships in the socio-environmental dimension. It is noticed that Environmental Education, by adding the social and natural dimension of social practices and relationships, presents itself as an aggregating tool to teaching practices based on the Geography of Perception, opening doors to a plural and holistic education. In conclusion, it is noted that the Geography of Perception in the context of Environmental Education guidelines is able to guide teaching relationships, educational practices, perception and behavior towards the environment. |

Como recurso metodológico foram utilizadas a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, sob a abordagem qualitativa. Como resultados/discussões averiguou-se que trabalhos pedagógicos com a categoria Percepção no ensino de Geografia tem se consolidado como alternativa para relações de ensino e aprendizagem da dimensão socioambiental. Percebe-se que a Educação Ambiental, por agregar a dimensão social e natural das práticas e relações sociais, apresenta-se como ferramenta agregadora às práticas de ensino fundamentadas na Geografia da Percepção, abrindo portas para um ensino plural e holístico.
