Resumo: The objective of this paper is a reflection on the construction of cultural heritage in the urban space. It's about the production of a Cine-Theatre located in the city of Juiz de Fora/MG as cultural heritage in local and national scope. This case study intents to bring in a reflection about the discourses, conflicts, appropriations around the cultural heritage and, thenceforth, how the conceptions of memory, history, past and culture are drawn through, even if not always stable, mechanisms of preservation.
