The growing number of publications and presentations in events in the area of Linguists and Letters are making emerge the relevance of the use of a sociohistorical approach in qualitative research involving language studies. Specifically in the area of text genres, we can rely on different works such as Meurer and Motta-Roth (2002), Dionísio, Machado e Bezerra (2002), Marcuschi (prelo) among others. Our study aims at summing up the main ideas of the theoretical framework of the sociodiscursive interactionism as proposed by Bronckart (1997/1999) for analyses of how language works in texts belonging to text genres that may be objects of teaching-learning at school.
