Reflections about the communicative approach in foreign languages teaching

Resumo: | This paper presents a theoretical reflection about the foreign languages teaching process through the communicative approach and aims at showing the communicative approach in the teaching-learning process of a new language. On this work, we elaborated a bibliographic and qualitative research relating to the modern foreign language teaching as a communicative competence notion. The research is based on the theoretical contributions of Almeida Filho (1986, 2013), Brown (2000, 2001), Hymes (1972), Krashen (1982, 1983), Larsen-Freeman (2000), Littlewood (1981), Richards (2006), Richards e Rodgers (2001), Widdowson (1978), among others, who discuss the communicative approach on foreign language teaching. It is concluded from the theoretical reference that a meaning communication in foreign language results of the interaction among contents inserted in real contexts of communication. |

It is concluded from the theoretical reference that a meaning communication in foreign language results of the interaction among contents inserted in real contexts of communication.Este artículo tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre el proceso de enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras a la luz del enfoque comunicativo y pretende evidenciar el enfoque comunicativo en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de un nuevo idioma. Para realizar este trabajo se ha realizado una búsqueda bibliográfica de naturaleza cualitativa, abordando la enseñanza moderna de lenguas extranjeras como una noción de competencia comunicativa. La investigación se fundamenta en las contribuciones teóricas de Almeida Filho (1986, 2013), Brown (2000, 2001), Hymes (1972), Krashen (1982, 1983), Larsen-Freeman (2000), Littlewood (1981), Richards (2006), Richards y Rodgers (2001), Widdowson (1978), entre otros, que discuten el enfoque comunicativo en la enseñanza de lengua extranjera. Con base en el aporte teórico se concluye que una comunicación significativa en una lengua extranjera resulta de la interacción entre contenidos insertados en contextos reales de comunicación.Este artigo faz uma reflexão teórica direcionada para a questão do processo de ensino de línguas estrangeiras à luz da abordagem comunicativa. Objetiva evidenciar a relevância da abordagem comunicativa no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de um novo idioma. Na realização deste trabalho, foram elaboradas uma pesquisa bibliográfica e uma análise qualitativa sobre a questão levantada, abordando o ensino moderno de línguas estrangeiras como uma noção de competência comunicativa. A pesquisa se fundamenta nas contribuições teóricas de Almeida Filho (1986, 2013), Brown (2000, 2001), Hymes (1972), Krashen (1982, 1983), Larsen-Freeman (2000), Littlewood (1981), Richards (2006), Richards e Rodgers (2001), Widdowson (1978), entre outros, que discutem a abordagem comunicativa no ensino de língua estrangeira.
