Resumo: Objective: The purpose of this article is to highlight the interrelationship between the act of read and the conscious mediation of reading, based on the dimensions of information mediation.Methodology: It is characterized as a literature review with a qualitative approach, articulating the theoretical, conceptual and analytical aspects that supported the study.Results: It is noticed that analyzing the act of read and the mediation of reading from the dimensions of mediation of information, helps in the process of reaching a conscious and humanizing perspective on the part of the subjects, in addition to expanding the study perceptions of these actions. in the field of Information Science, favoring reflections that support the formation and development of a protagonist posture of readers and reading mediators. Conclusions: It is understood that the dimensions of mediation of information can favor reflective and conscious actions of reading and mediation of reading, even contributing so that mediators have an ethical and formative in relation of interference made in the lives of subjects.
