Corneal transplantation is an efficient alternative for corneal diseases. Corneas are obtained from post mortem donation with prior family authorization after identification of the potential donor at the Hospital Institution. Notification is mandatory to the Regulatory Centers and must be carried out in real time, by professionals from the Inpatient Units and the evaluation carried out on the possibility of donation(absence of contraindications), by professionals working in the Intra-Hospital Commissions for Organ and Tissue Donation for Transplants (CIHDOTT) of each Institution. To improve the work process, it is necessary to use technologies in order to facilitate real-time notification and, consequently, avoid losses of possible corneal donors in viable patients, that is, those without contraindications for donation. This work proposes to develop and evaluate an inline notification system for deaths in cardiorespiratory arrest (CRA) based on the notification form of the state of Paraná adapted for the institution, directing the notifying nurse what action to take after the death notification. Study carried out in four stages the construction of the theoretical material, adaptation of the notification form, development and evolution of the usability of the death notification system. The system was developed based on the death notification form, where the system’s response guides the notifying nurse on which course of action to take. After development, usability was evaluated by 101 nurse with analysis of the reliability and internal consistency of the measurement instrument by calculating the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, with a final reliability value of 0.90, configuring a high realiability. Conclusion: According to the applied statistical tests, it can be concluded that the developed digital notification system presented adequate usability for the intended public and purpose.
