Resumo: | In recent years, the application of biotechnology has grown considerably in many areas of engineering and production of drugs, among others. Among the new technologies developed it is noteworthy the use of cyclodextrins (CDs). In this context, this study aimed to the inclusion of methyl jasmonate (MeJA) in 2-hidroxpropil-beta-cyclodextrin (HP-β-CD) and catechin (CAT) in beta-cyclodextrin (β-CD) in order to verify the efficiency and better inclusion condition. The complex MeJA:HP-β-CD was prepared using the methods of physical mixture (FM), Lyophilization (Lyo), coprecipitation and Lyophilization (Co+Lyo) and Supercritical (SSCO2). For CAT:β-CD the inclusion complex was prepared by the methodologies: FM, Anchoring (ANCO) and SSCO2. The verification of the inclusion feasibility and efficiency in both complexes were analyzed using the techniques Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (H-NMR), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy with Attenuated Total Reflectance and Raman (FT-IR/ATR and FT-RAMAN ), thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry (TGA/DSC), antioxidant activity (DPPH) and X-ray Diffraction (XRD, only for the CAT:β- CD complex). The results obtained for the inclusion efficiency were higher using the SSCO2 technique, which also led to increased thermal and oxidative stability, compared to other methods of inclusion and the pure molecules (MeJA or CAT). However, inclusion of other techniques has obtained satisfactory results in comparison with the technique that uses supercritical method. |
