Resumo: This research maps the Physics degree courses in the State of Paraná. Through the “e-MEC” homepage, we identify institutions that offer vacancies. And, based on this result, we sought, in each institution, information about the curricular matrix, course workload and Supervised Internship. The results show that Paraná offers 3,010 vacancies. Of these, 704 are for the in-person modality, offered mainly by public institutions and 2,306 in the distance modality, EaD offered mainly by private institutions. Private institutions provide the least data and tend to have the lowest workload required to complete the course, including, in some cases, below the minimum workload required by law. We point out that the problem with teacher training for teaching Physics is not the scarcity of vacancies, but rather the need for greater commitment from public authorities in monitoring the quality of the courses offered..

A través de la página de inicio “e-MEC” identificamos instituciones que ofrecen vacantes. Y, a partir de este resultado, se buscó, en cada institución, información sobre la matriz curricular, carga horaria de cursos y Prácticas Supervisadas. Los resultados muestran que Paraná ofrece 3.010 vacantes. De ellos, 704 son para la modalidad presencial, ofrecida principalmente por instituciones públicas y 2.306 en la modalidad a distancia, EaD ofrecida principalmente por instituciones privadas. Las instituciones privadas proporcionan la menor cantidad de datos y tienden a tener la carga de trabajo más baja requerida para completar el curso, incluso, en algunos casos, por debajo de la carga de trabajo mínima requerida por la ley. Señalamos que el problema de la formación del profesorado de Física no es la escasez de plazas vacantes, sino la necesidad de un mayor compromiso de las autoridades públicas en el seguimiento de la calidad de los cursos ofrecidos.Esta pesquisa mapeia os cursos de Licenciatura em Física no Estado do Paraná. Por meio da homepage “e-MEC”, identificamos as instituições que ofertam vagas. E, a partir deste resultado, buscamos, em cada instituição, informações sobre a matriz curricular, carga horária do curso e do Estágio Supervisionado. Os resultados apontam que o Paraná disponibiliza 3.010 vagas. Destas, 704 são para a modalidade presencial, ofertadas majoritariamente, por instituições públicas e 2.306 na modalidade a distância, EaD ofertadas majoritariamente por instituições privadas. As instituições privadas são as que menos disponibilizam dados e tendem a apresentar a menor carga horária para a conclusão do curso, inclusive, em alguns casos, abaixo da carga horária mínima prevista pela legislação. Apontamos que o problema da formação docente para o ensino de Física não é a escassez de vagas, mas sim, a necessidade de maior comprometimento do poder público quanto a fiscalização da qualidade dos cursos ofertados.
