Resumo: Cora Coralina, a poet from Goiás, has struggled to achieve recognition, especially from her peers. Such recognition was only reached thirteen years after the publication of her first book. In this article, we sought to elucidate to what we can attribute such barrier, by analzying the reception of Cora Coralina’s work by the literature circle from Goiás, based on the concept of ‘control of the imaginary’ by Luiz Costa Lima (2013), as well as the poet choice for marginality, observed through the ideas of Pascale Casanova (2011) on ‘combative literatures’.

Universidade Estadual De Maringá2017-07-06info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArtigoapplication/pdfhttp://www.periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/ActaSciLangCult/article/view/3186010.4025/actascilangcult.v39i3.31860Acta Scientiarum.
