Resumo: | Different species of genus Sida are important common weeds. They are considered extensively disseminated species and are hard to control. This trial aimed to evaluate the efficacy of sequential applications of sublethal rates of flumicloracpentil to control four species of Sida sp. of frequent occurrence in the north and northewest Paraná state, in comparison with a single application of the herbicide, both at sublethal and recommended rates. Flumiclorac-pentil sprayed at sublethal rates in sequential applications showed higher efficiency than in a single (sublethal or recommended rate) application. Flumiclorac-pentil, especially in sequential applications, provided similar or improved levels of control when compared with fomesafen or lactofen for Sida rhombifolia, Sida spinosa, Sida cordifolia and Sida glaziovii. In comparing species susceptibility with flumiclorac-pentil, S. rhombifolia and S. glaziovii were considered less sensitive to the herbicide, demanding sequential applications with higher rates of flumiclorac-pentil to obtain regular control, whereas S. spinosa and S. cordifolia were more susceptible to flumiclorac-pentil |

São consideradas espécies de difícil controle e de extensa disseminação. Diante desse contexto, procurou-se verificar a eficácia de aplicações seqüenciais de subdoses de flumiclorac-pentil no controle de 4 espécies de Sida, de ocorrência freqüente nas regiões norte e noroeste do Paraná, comparando tais aplicações à aplicação única do produto, tanto em sudoses quanto na dose recomendada. A eficácia do flumiclorac-pentil, quando utilizado em subdoses com aplicações seqüenciais, foi superior àquela observada quando ele foi utilizado em dose única (em subdoses ou na dose recomendada). O flumiclorac-pentil, principalmente em aplicações seqüenciais, proporcionou níveis de controle semelhantes ou superiores ao fomesafen e ao lactofen no controle de Sida rhombifolia, Sida spinosa, Sida cordifolia e Sida glaziovii.
