Youth participation in the Brazilian High School: an ongoing field studies

Resumo: This paper deals with the results of a critical review of Brazilian Postgraduate production about the participation of young students in High School. Thirty nine thesis and dissertations produced between 2005 and 2017 in the areas of Education, Social Sciences and Psychology in Brazil were identified, among them 25 texts were fully recovered and constituted the corpus of the research. The theoretical framework used was the Sociology of Youth and Educational studies. The data indicate a production that increased after the first decade, although there are still several gaps to be developed due to the recent expansion of High School and the new forms of contemporary collective actions.   Keywords: High school. Se identificaron 39 tesis y disertaciones producidas entre 2005 y 2017 en las áreas de Educación, Ciencias Sociales y Psicología en Brasil, de las cuales 25 textos fueron recuperados en su totalidad y constituyeron el corpus de la investigación. El referencial teórico utilizado fueron los estudios de Sociología de la Juventud y de Educación. Los datos indican una producción que se acentúa a partir de la primera década, pero aún con varias lagunas y en vías de construcción frente a la reciente expansión de la Enseñanza Media y a las nuevas formas de acciones colectivas contemporáneas.   Palabras clave: Enseñanza Media.
