Resumo: The paper reflects the sufferings of groups forced to migrate to urban spaces in the Amazon, breaking the relations with the land. Analytical categories from two research groups from Brazilian universities were used and reports on the psychological suffering of indigenous people of the Sateré-Mawé/AM and Hixkaryana/AM presented after migration to the city. The collection methodology was ethnography and the analysis categories of socio-historical psychology. Results suggest that the social inequality experienced by indigenous peoples goes through the suffering experienced in the city, characterized as an ethico-political suffering. The conception of health and the category of common have been shown, in paper, like power forms for these peoples to live an urban context.
