Resumo: | El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el posicionamiento de una de las denominadas potencias emergentes -Brasil- en relación al vigente orden internacional liberal. En el marco de los debates teóricos en relación al comportamiento internacional de dichos países, el trabajo plantea las limitaciones actuales que tiene Brasil -producto de un aumento de las capacidades materiales- de mantener posturas reformistas en relación a algunas herramientas y normas del orden liberal. La posición de Brasil con respectos a los Tratados Bilaterales de Inversiones es un caso testigo para sustentar nuestro argumento.ABSTRACT This article aims to analyse the position of one of the so-called emerging powers - Brazil - in relation to the existing liberal international order. In the framework of the theoretical discussions in relation to the international behaviour of those countries, the paper shows the current limitations that Brazil - product of an increase in material capabilities – have in keeping reformist posture in relation to some tools and rules of the liberal order.
