Educação e emancipação feminina na obra de Maria Lacerda de Moura (1919-1935)

This thesis aims to analyze the discursive production of the educator, jornalist and writer Maria Lacerda de Moura (1887-1945), from 1919 to 1935. Thus, with this intent we have chosen two books from her production, which ones formed the timeframes of this work, given the relevance of both: Renovation (1919), book where she demarcated themes she will deepen along her trajectory as: feminism, female emancipation, universal suffrage, education and childhood; and The Woman is a Denegerated (1924), book on which she deepen and mature the themes from the previous book, as well as debate the anathema The Woman is a Denegerated, uttered by the Portuguese doctor Miguel Bombarda (1896), around the female inferiority. We also analyzed the correspondences sent by the intellectual to Fábio Luz and Bertha Lutz, with the purpose of observe how the subjects worked in private space can help us to understand the genesis of the actions that happen in public space. In the case of the first letter writer, our interest was the exchanges around anarchism; in the case of the second letter writer, issues around feminism. The analyzis of the writer s educational thought was made from indications (Ginzburg, 2009) left in her articles, conference letters and books from which we pursued to identify paths she went through searching for an education which set women free. Work was carried out from tensions between the micro and macro aspects of bibliographic review in the sense of thinking the actions of the commited intelectual (Sirinelli) Maria Lacerda and her trajectory, in other words, her singular way to go through social environment because we crossed the biographical elements from the intelectual with her writing production
