Resumo: Introduction: Domestic violence, despite its millenary origin, has become one of the most serious contemporary problems to be faced by society. With the COVID 19 pandemic and the necessary social isolation, one of the impacts observed was the increase in domestic violence. Objective: To analyze the factors that increased female vulnerability to domestic violence in the period of social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: Quantitative, cross-sectional descriptive research. Data collection was carried out by questionnaire, from Oct/2021 to Feb/2022. The sample was randomized with women from social media: WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. Women (cis or transgender) aged 18 or over were included. Data were computed, stored in free software version 3.6.1. A questionnaire was applied to a sample of 208 women. Results: It was found that 81.7% of the women had higher education, 53.4% declared themselves white. As for the monthly family income, 69.5% had an income greater than 4,180.00. About how was their relationship with their partners, before the quarantine, 84.6% reported that they had a pleasant relationship, while 2.1% referred to their relationships as unpleasant, 4.6% described their ) partners as nervous and 1.5% reported that he only showed aggression when he consumed alcohol. As for the perception of change in their relationship during the pandemic, 45% reported having noticed, 25% reported impatience and impatience with their partners and 2.3% reported greater aggression towards each other. We had a percentage of 4% of women reporting that they had suffered violence from their partners, 52.6% said they had noticed changes in their behavior during the quarantine, 30.6%. of women perceived themselves to be sadder. Of the women who felt impacted by the pandemic in their lives and relationships, 75.6% stated that the type of greatest impact was emotional, followed by social with 44%. Conclusion: Women of all educational levels face situations of violence, however, those with a higher level of education, higher income, white and with paid occupation are less vulnerable to domestic violence, as they have greater personal autonomy, internal and external resources that decrease tolerance to aggression. The importance of professional training, an attentive and empathetic look in the care of women is highlighted. And no less important is the implementation of public policies to combat violence against women.

Submitted by Diane CB/B (diane.portugal@uerj.br) on 2023-01-23T14:47:51Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissetação final - Adriana Carla Feques Carvalho de Oliveira - completa - 2022 (1).pdf: 2449531 bytes, checksum: a09dccc5f8b2b44c8788d8d5e9ce5f4d (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2023-01-23T14:47:51Z (GMT).
