Resumo: This work aimed on identifying unanswered questions and unclear points in a particularly new and increasingly important subject, which is Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Quality and Environment achieved through time and with companies, governments and society synergic efforts their very well delimited territories in business mentality. However, although CSR is a forthcoming theme it still demands more solid practical foundations like, for instance, well-defined boundaries on what are companies CSR responsibilities and what are Governments attributions. As the transforming industry branch is in fact one of the biggest, but also one of the most potentially harmful for environment and society, as well as the natural chemical engineering work field, this research study and evaluation environment are companies from this field. The posture, the goals, the purpose of the projects created and maintained by them were evaluated in parallel with standards like SA 8000, AA 1000 and NBR 16001 and with the available bibliography, with the objective of finding a common path for other companies from the transforming industry branch, or maybe from other fields, to follow and achieve success on merging CSR in their activities. This research had as a final goal the development of a commented overview, which has evaluated the enterprises viewpoints through the study of their employees, reaching an extensive view, focused on Rio de Janeiro State situation, of what can be understood, demanded and performed inside Corporate Social Responsibility reality. It was concluded that the RSC, when applied with targets, focus, well-structured policies and dissemination, can be incorporated, permeates managerial structure of firms and can be perceived by their staff. The organizational structure applied by all studied companies was similar and the RSC was incorporated in matrix form with the other themes. As a recommendation, it can be said that companies must invest more in external dissemination of their programs of RSC, as shown by its employees through interviews and questionnaires.

Submitted by Boris Flegr (boris@uerj.br) on 2021-01-06T19:37:35Z No. of bitstreams: 1 Dissertacao bruno eduardo.pdf: 778214 bytes, checksum: c5324427246fa39b8e2e496c88a27623 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2021-01-06T19:37:35Z (GMT).
