With the growth of the population disorderly and the change of the population from rural to urban, the population seeks peripheral locations where there is no basic sanitation, lack of garbage collection in general, with the lack of these services the population ends up discarding garbage and the waste inappropriately, ends up discarding in small streams, in the bottom of their own residence and in vacant lots, contributing with the socioenvironmental impacts in their locality. Thus, it can be seen that these socioenvironmental impacts occur in the city of Delmiro Gouveia, specifically in the neighborhood Caraibeirinhas, study area of this work, a low-class neighborhood and lack of understanding of the population about the issues arising in the neighborhood. Finally, it was concluded that, through the research, it was possible to observe that the Caraberinhas stream is used as a channel for receiving the waste from the community and surrounding neighborhoods. It also concludes that the community does not have an environmental perception focused on preservation, and that they are not a community oriented orientation and environmental education.
