Resumo: Agroforestry system importance not only not also for farmers as environment and the of its knowledge expansion encouraged of this academic paper research, primarily to agroforestry system is implementng and deriving results in the Caatinga biome in the Sertão Sergipano territory. This academic paper, elaborated by means of case study, have objective identify basic challenges overcome to implement the agroforestry system in Paêbirú ranch in the Alto Sertão Sergipano territory and to results select that can suit boost and contribution to dissemination by other farmers of Brazilian Sertão. For its elaboration, a broad literature review on the subject was carried out and an interview with the farmer Marcelo Prata during agroforestry system implantation and management. The agroforestry system was implanted due to interest of Caatingapreservation and its biome. In general, can declare what with challenges the regional drought itself, the creation of cisterns for water abstraction, strategies for lower outflow and the food production without pesticides, among the results attained, the non-deforestation, benefits for Caatinga biome and wholesome foods production for subsistence that culminate disseminations with the same environmental characteristics.

Este trabalho acadêmico, desenvolvido por meio de um estudo de caso, tem por objetivo apontar os principais desafios vencidos para se implantar o sistema agroflorestal do sítio Paêbirú no alto Sertão Sergipano e selecionar resultados que podem servir de incentivo e contribuição para disseminação por outros produtores do Sertão Brasileiro. Para sua elaboração, foi realizada uma ampla revisão de literatura sobre a temática e feita uma entrevista com o produtor rural Marcelo Prata durante a implantação e manejo do sistema agroflorestal, sobre sua experiência adquirida. O sistema agroflorestal foi implantado devido ao interesse de preservação da Caatinga e seu bioma.
