O sertão alagoano ressignificado na TV

We are faced with utterances that have the sertão / Nordeste / Semiárido as (supposed) referring, we soon recovered a series of files and image memories that refer to a inhospitable territoriality, searing heat and extreme poverty, and other stereotypes built historically, from the end of the century. XIX, about what we know today as Northeast, more precisely from the so-called “great drought”, from 1877 to 1879. Despite of this, statements, which are in a discursive chain, are subject to retractions, erasures or resignifications, which, in relation to this territoriality, can be perceived, for example, the from the emergence of a new discursive matrix based on coexistence with the Semiarid / Sertão. In this path, we aim, in this work, to understand how “other” sertão is enunciative-discursively constructed on TV and to understand which linguistic discursive and semiotic are present in a television journalistic text. That is, we intend understand what world of meanings is proposed on the Alagoas backlands, understood here as resimbolization, using as analysis corpus a TV report entitled “See the tip of an unmissable tour through the Alagoan countryside”, from TV Gazeta, Alagoas, in 2016. This text belongs to “everyday communication”, which is extremely rich in content, initially because it comes directly into contact with production processes, then because relate to various ideological spheres, reverberating discursive proposals from the most varied, which may have “binding power” along with the dialogue, establishing, starting from addition, realities, building the world of meanings. This research is based on assumptions of indisciplinary Applied Linguistics, area of linguistic-discursive studies concerned with elaborating intelligibilities about social life, dialoguing with the paradigma interpretative epistemological. In indisciplinarity, we combine knowledge from studies of Geography and History, performing an enunciative-discursive reading, based on the notion of an “ethnolinguistics of living speech”. The research is referenced theoretically and methodologically in Albuquerque Jr. (2011, 2014, 2017 and 2019), Bakhtin / Volochinov (2011 [1931], 2019 [1929]), Moita Lopes (2006), Signorini (1998) and Schistek (2017), among others. The results point to the construction of a new discursive matrix around the hinterland. The television reporting refracts and rivals enunciative-discursively with the sertão stereotyped, as it implies, for this territoriality, through the processes of naming and adjectivation, new climatic elements, for example, a lazy sun and a biting cold, issues that produce and structure the tour, declared as a must.
