Resumo: | The objective was to carry out the scientific and technological monitoring of this species in order to map its progress in the scientific and technological field. To this end, scientific and technological prospecting techniques were employed, using the Scopus and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) databases as databases. It has been found that India has the largest number of publications of scientific articles, while the United States was responsible for the largest number of patents filed involving the aloe species. Brazil had low scientific and technological production when compared to other countries. Regarding CIP, the most categorized subclass was the A61K, pointing to the greater use of Aloe vera in the development of products for medical and dental purposes |
