São Bernardo do Campo, 2023Em dezembro de 2019, a pandemia de covid-19 teve um impacto significativo na economia global. Neste trabalho, o objetivo é identificar quais estratégias foram utilizadas para a retomada econômica após a crise, diferenciando as ações implementadas e analisando como o PIB, o desemprego e a inflação reagiram aos acontecimentos. Utilizando uma abordagem qualitativa, foram selecionados países que foram positivamente e negativamente afetados, observando suas diferentes abordagens políticas e determinando quais foram as mais eficientes. Além disso, foram comparadas as políticas fiscais e monetárias implementadas nesses países. Os principais indicadores econômicos analisados foram o PIB, o desemprego e a inflação. Levando em consideração que o estudo é uma comparação entre os mesmos países antes e depois da pandemia, não se concentrando em números absolutos dos indicadores mencionados, os resultados sugerem que mesmo países geograficamente próximos obtiveram resultados diferentes. Ainda, países com mercados de trabalho mais liberais e que investiram em qualificação profissional e infraestrutura do Estado apresentaram resultados mais positivos nos indicadores propostos. Além disso, uma vez que a pandemia de covid-19 teve um impacto significativo na economia global, o trabalho discute as estratégias adotadas de políticas fiscais e econômicas e sua importância na diferenciação da recuperação econômica entre os países, bem como a relação entre inflação e políticas de recuperação. Nota: Os autores consentem que o título mais indicado para a dissertação seria "Discussão sobre estratégias de retomada econômica pós-pandemia covid-19", porém o atual título da dissertação foi mantido por formalidades burocráticas.In December 2019, the covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the global economy. The objective of this study is to identify the strategies used for economic recovery after the crisis, differentiating the implemented actions and analyzing how GDP, unemployment, and inflation reacted to the events. Using a qualitative approach, countries that were positively and negatively affected were selected, observing their different political approaches, and determining the most efficient ones. Additionally, the fiscal and monetary policies implemented in these countries were compared. The main economic indicators analyzed were GDP, unemployment, and inflation. Considering that the study is a comparison between the same countries before and after the pandemic and does not focus on absolute numbers of the mentioned indicators, the results suggest that even geographically close countries achieved different outcomes. Countries with more liberal labor markets and those that invested in professional qualification and internal infrastructure showed more positive results in the proposed indicators. Furthermore, since the covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the global economy, the study discusses the adopted strategies of fiscal and economic policies and their importance in differentiating the economic recovery among countries, as well as the relationship between inflation and recovery policies.
