Resumo: The Programa Escola Sem Partido (ESP) have brought forth academic discussions and gained notoriety on the media. This article intends to comprehend what are the pretenses and the consequences of the ESP and was based on a bibliographic research and on media material that approach the referred program. Towards what was studied, we noticed that the principles of an education based on the human formation, go against the ESP's ideology, which has a technical character, in other words, it does not allow the critical reflection of the students about their realities. Thus, we understand that the idea of the ESP are extremely conservative and are guided on the far right expansion. Therefore, the discussion of this problematic, that promotes conflicts on the social and educational field, it is crucial for the school to become a space for a liberating learning.

Este artigo objetiva compreender quais são as pretensões e as consequências do ESP e se baseou em uma pesquisa bibliográfica e em materiais midiáticos que tratam do programa em pauta. Diante do que foi estudado, notamos que os princípios de uma educação fundamentada na formação humana vão de encontro à ideologia do ESP, o qual tem caráter tecnicista, isto é, não permite a reflexão crítica dos estudantes acerca de suas realidades. Desse modo, entendemos que as ideias do ESP são extremamente conservadoras e se pautam na expansão da extrema direita.
